Emma persuades her Aunt Helen to modernise and redecorate her Elizabethan manor, Court House, and turn it into a rural B&B. Hugh, a local architect, helps and encourages them. Jack Falconer owns an upmarket hotel in the village. Court House was once his family's home. Even though he's friendly, Emma isn't sure if he's for or against her plans. Then there are strange happenings at Court House, and Emma's emotions are confused - and Jack's secretary Diana is harassing her.
