British Army deserter Thomas Collins is working with the Texas Rangers to bring supplies of gunpowder back to San Antonio for the continuing struggle against the fearsome Comanche Nation. As they slowly drive their heavy-laden wagons back, Thomas's past catches up with him in the form of a ruthless British officer, Captain Speirs, who has crossed the Atlantic to apprehend him.
